Yes. You choose one Within-Domain Specialisation and one Cross-Domain Specialisation. You can also design a custom Cross-Domain pathway under faculty guidance and select Directed Electives to further personalise your learning.

A four-week, credit-bearing, self-directed period after Semester 5 where students pursue an independent design research project, product development exploration, or applied design challenge. It builds design independence and often informs the final Capstone.
Highly practical. Students learn through studio-based practice, build physical and digital prototypes, use professional digital media labs, engage with industry partners, and complete real client or social impact projects throughout the four years.
Every semester includes at least one transdisciplinary studio, an intensive, project-based learning experience where you work in teams on real organisational challenges. Studios emphasise application, peer critique, iteration, and tangible deliverables (business plans, strategy decks, prototypes, etc.).
Absolutely. The Cross-Domain Specialisation options, combined with venture labs, incubation support through Centres of Excellence, and the option to convert your Capstone into a live communication or design venture, make the programme highly entrepreneurship-friendly.
Minimum 50% aggregate in Class 12/10+2 (any stream) with English as a compulsory subject. Submission of a portfolio showcasing creative work and design thinking is mandatory.

B.Tech. CSE
The WPU GŌA B.Tech CSE is built on India’s first platform-based academic architecture. Students receive deep technical training combined with a mandatory Cross-Domain Specialisation, studios every semester, an Independent Inquiry Period, extensive real-world immersions, and a full-semester Capstone. The programme emphasises human-centred design, responsible AI, systems thinking, and ethical technology — preparing graduates to build technology that is not only powerful but also socially meaningful.
From the first semester. The programme follows a strong studio-based and project-driven approach. Students work on mini-projects, labs, and challenge-led assignments from Year 1, gradually progressing to complex Grand Challenge Studios and industry-level problems.
After Semester 5, students undertake a four-week, credit-bearing IIP where regular classes pause. They pursue a self-directed deep-dive such as building an AI prototype, conducting cybersecurity research, exploring a data-driven solution, or contributing to a Grand Challenge. It builds intellectual independence and often feeds directly into the final Capstone project.

Yes. Immersions form a core part of the academic journey and are credit-bearing. They include International Immersion, Rural Goa immersion, National Immersion at an IIT, trade show visit, 12-week industry internship, LTC, and Active Citizenship Programme.
