General

WPU GŌA is a fully residential campus that embraces a transdisciplinary philosophy of education. The WPU GŌA Admissions Committee looks beyond academic performance in standardized tests and Board examinations, seeking candidates who demonstrate strong character, meaningful experiences, and clear future motivation. Our admissions process is designed to identify well-rounded, high-potential students who can actively contribute to and enrich the learning environment at WPU GŌA.

The registration process for Undergraduate programmes for the Academic Year 2026-27 is currently active, with programmes commencing in September 2026.

Applicants must have a minimum 50% aggregate in Class 12/10+2 in any stream with English as a compulsory subject for all undergraduate programmes. In addition, for B.Tech. programmes, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics and Mathematics with a Technical or Vocational subject, are mandatory. Please do see the eligibility section for more details.

The Admissions Committee of WPU GŌA evaluates the complete profile of each candidate holistically to identify well-rounded, high-potential candidates who will thrive in, and actively contribute to, our residential learning community.
All candidates will be evaluated on their past academic performance and must meet programme-specific minimum requirements as detailed in the Eligibility Criteria.

Candidates must demonstrate competence through applicable entrance examinations. Additionally, all candidates are required to submit a written essay (maximum of 750 words) and a Video Essay (2-3 minutes in length). Both the written and video essays will be assessed for authenticity, depth of reflection, and alignment with the ABC Model. B.Des. candidates are additionally required to submit a portfolio showcasing their creative work and design thinking capabilities.

Our pioneering ABC selection model emphasizes agility and empathic responsiveness, your ability to reflect some experience with and an understanding of the need for agile responsiveness to change; showcasing a certain resilience and empathic nature; Broad-minded orientation to learning and self-development reflecting a certain autonomous and original thinking ability in the way you approach knowledge, learning, cultures, philosophy, the internet, habits and trends and Curiosity for Complex problems and Co-Creation for Change, through some experiences in and commitment to volunteering for organisations, activism, social events, social enterprises, lobbying, good cause related social media, etc.

The Personal Interaction provides an opportunity for the Admissions Committee to understand each candidate’s motivations, thought processes, and fit with the transdisciplinary philosophy of WPU GŌA. Supporting documents, including resumes, extracurricular certificates, and letters of recommendation, add value by providing deeper context about the candidate’s potential.

The internal assessment process holistically evaluates the following components of the Candidate’s profile:

At WPU GŌA, we evaluate candidates based on their holistic performance using the ABC Model across all evaluation parameters. Selection is not determined by a single score; instead, emphasis is placed on the overall profile, which should demonstrate strength and potential in various aspects. While higher entrance test scores can enhance selection prospects, we also consider consistent academic performance, the quality of responses in registration essays, Personal Interactions, and meaningful extracurricular or professional achievements.

Candidates must have successfully completed the Class 12/ 10+2 examination (or equivalent) from a recognized board such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Indian School Certificate (ISC), Cambridge International / CAIE, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or State Boards. Candidates with grades/GPA/credit points must submit an equivalence/conversion certificate from the respective examination board or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

Admissions Process

Please register on the WPU GŌA University website to create your user account. You will get an auto-generated email with your login information. Use this login information to register. For details, you may refer to the section on ‘How to Register’.

Check your Junk / Spam / Promotions folders for an email with the subject line “Your WPU GŌA Registration.” If you still cannot locate the email, it’s possible that your acknowledgment email bounced, and we may only have one email address for you. Please email admissions@wpugoa.edu.in with an alternative email address, your Registration ID number, and the email address you used to apply, so that we can resend your acknowledgment email.

You may please add the predicted grades (if available to you) in the registration form.

In addition to the requested correction, please include your Registration ID, full name, high school, and date of birth as submitted in your registration. Please note that if you are contacting us about a change to your legal name, you will need to provide verification documents.

The WPU GŌA Entrance Examination is an online examination conducted by WPU GŌA University for admission to its Undergraduate programme. The WPU GŌA Entrance Examination is of 60 minutes’ duration and is divided into 5 sections, as given below:

  • Section 1: Logical Reasoning- 30 Questions (30 marks)
  • Section 2: Quantitative Ability- 20 questions (20 marks)
  • Section 3: Verbal Ability- 20 questions (20 marks)
  • Section 4: Computer Fundamentals – 15 questions (15 marks)
  • Section 5: General knowledge – 15 questions (15 marks)

All questions shall be of a multiple-choice (MCQ) type.

There is no negative marking for the WPU GŌA Entrance Examination.

No, calculators are not allowed during the WPU GŌA Entrance Examination.

There is no need to take any special coaching for WPU GŌA Entrance Examination. The standard of questions would be similar to most of the other competitive examinations.

The written essay allows candidates to highlight their individuality, goals, and values. This is an opportunity to share their unique experiences, challenges overcome, and leadership qualities, helping evaluators understand their potential for academic success and community contribution at WPU GŌA. Please do go through the ‘Guidance for Writing an Effective Essay’ Section for more details. Candidates must keep the following in mind:

  • The written essay is a separate section in the registration form, and it should be written in English
  • The 750-word limit must be strictly adhered to. Shorter essays are permitted.
  • The written essay should be authentic and express the writer’s genuine voice, perspectives, and lived experiences
  • It should reflect deeply on their journey, focusing on self-awareness and personal growth rather than listing achievements
  • It should be written honestly without exaggeration or falsification. There are no right or wrong answers; what matters is clarity of thought and how what is meaningful to them is conveyed to the committee

Candidates are required to submit a short video (2-3 minutes) in which they introduce themselves and explain why the committee should select them. It is an opportunity to build on the written essay, convince the committee of their level of preparation and ability to communicate, and position themselves effectively. Candidates should consider this as their “communication pitch”, answering the critical question of why they should be picked above other extremely well-qualified candidates for a very small number of spots in a unique environment that will not only shape their futures but also provide experiences, networks, and expertise that will ensure success professionally and in life. The Video Essay is to be submitted within the registration form as a link to an UNLISTED YouTube video in the provided space.

All candidates who submit the registration form will be invited to participate in an online Personal Interaction as part of the admission process. It is of 20-30 minutes’ duration. Your Personal Interaction will include a discussion based on your overall profile. The Personal Interaction is conversational in nature. There are no right or wrong answers; authenticity and honest reflection are valued. The interaction is designed to be a two-way dialogue where you may also ask questions about the programme. For B.Des. candidates, the Personal Interaction will also include a discussion on the submitted portfolio.

The Online Personal Interaction is a part of the WPU GŌA University online admission process. It will be conducted online after you complete the online WPU GŌA Entrance Examination. Well before your Personal Interaction is scheduled, you will receive a link to join for the discussion with our faculty panel.

Yes, Portfolio submission is mandatory for B.Des. candidates. A ‘Portfolio’ is a collection of your best and most representative work that showcases your creativity, skills, potential, and growth as a designer. It’s essentially a visual resume that gives admissions committees a sense of who you are as a prospective designer. For B.Des. candidates, the Personal Interaction will also include a discussion on the submitted portfolio

Each candidate is solely responsible for ensuring that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate Programme at WPU GŌA. WPU GŌA reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage of the admission process and to reject or cancel the candidature or admission of any candidate found to be ineligible. In such cases, the admission shall be deemed null and void, irrespective of the stage of the admission process or any prior communication of selection or admission.

The online WPU GŌA Entrance Examination will be conducted using human proctoring as well as the latest remote proctoring technology. You are required to provide permission for a webcam and a microphone. Please ensure the room is sufficiently lit.

You will receive emails at your registered email ID.

  • The first email is your admit card for the online WPU GŌA Entrance Examination. It will detail the date and time of your online WPU GŌA Entrance Examination.
  • Once you have attended the Examination, the second email will communicate the day and time of your online Personal Interaction. System requirements will also be communicated within those emails.
  • The online Personal Interaction is a part of the WPU GŌA online admission process. Please note WPU GŌA will schedule Personal Interactions on any one of the cycle-wise scheduled dates between 9:30 AM to 6 PM. We advise you to plan your availability as per the schedule mentioned.

An Aadhar card, PAN card, or Passport will serve as proof of identity for you to attend WPU GŌA’s online admission process. Only original documents shall be treated as valid proof of identity. You are required to keep the same handy during the entire online admission process.

No. Only a desktop or laptop can be used for the online admission process.

A help desk contact number will be displayed on each page of the online WPU GŌA Entrance Examination. Additionally, a member of WPU GŌA University’s admissions team will always be constantly available. Contact details are also given in the admit card email that is sent to your registered email ID.

What is the cutoff score for admission into WPU GŌA? WPU GŌA University has designed the selection process in such a way that each applicant has a fair chance of admission. The university tries to ensure that bright, well-rounded individuals get admitted to its undergraduate programmes. We have an internal assessment process that considers the following aspects of your application:

  • Past academic records
  • Entrance Examination
  • Written Essay
  • Video Essay
  • Online Personal Interaction
  • Extracurricular activities and/or professional achievements

 

We follow a sliding principle for selection, where we shortlist, candidates based on their overall performance on all the parameters listed above. As a candidate, if you score below average in your entrance test, but your application is strong in other aspects, chances are you might still get an offer from WPU GŌA. Your chances of selection are brighter if you have a strong academic record, a well-articulated Essay, and extracurricular/professional achievements.

Admission status will be announced as per the schedule mentioned on the website. Once it is declared, you will be notified at your registered email ID. Once you receive the notification, you can log in to your application portal to know about your admission status.

To confirm the offer of admission, log in to the WPU GŌA admission portal. The link, your login ID, and password to the admission portal will be given in your provisional offer email sent to your registered email ID. Fill in all the details and complete the offer acceptance and the first instalment fee payment.

The offer letter will include the deadline to accept the admission offer and other important timelines. To secure your admission, please accept the offer and pay the offer acceptance fees by the specified dates. Failure to do so will regrettably result in the cancellation of your admission.

There is no management quota at WPU GŌA. All students are admitted strictly on a merit basis.

The university shall refund the paid amount after deducting INR1000 if such a request is received before the specified date. If a candidate requests withdrawal any time thereafter, no such request shall be processed. Please refer to the cancellation section of our Admission Policy.

Candidates appearing for Class 12/10+2 in 2026 are eligible to apply. The candidate can select the “Result Status” as “Awaited” and go forward with their registration form.

Yes, it is mandatory to have taken the JEE Main Examination for admission into B.Tech. at WPU GŌA.

It is not mandatory to take or to submit UCEED, NID, or NATA scores for admission into B.Des. at WPU GŌA. However, you may choose to submit any of these examination scores OR alternatively take WPU GŌA Entrance Examination.

At the time of registration, the following are the documents are mandatory to be loaded under the ‘Document Upload’ section:

  • Copy of the Class 10 marksheet issued by the respective board
  • Copy of Class 12/10+2 marksheet, issued by the respective board
  • Entrance Test Score card (as applicable). B.Des candidates are also required to submit their portfolios
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Recent passport-size photograph (as per specifications on portal)
  • Candidate signature scan

Note: If results for any of the above examinations are awaited at the time of registration, candidates must upload the respective admit card or registration acknowledgment.

  • In addition, supporting documents that can add value to your registration are:
  • Updated resume/curriculum vitae
  • Certificates of extracurricular activities, achievements, awards, or recognitions earned during the last four academic years
  • Certificates of work experience, internships, or industry engagements
  • Letters of recommendation from academic faculty or professional mentors

Some important instructions to be remembered while filling the registration form are:

  • All documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format on the portal
  • Scanned copies must be clear and legible
  • Original documents will be required for verification at the time of admission
  • Forms with missing mandatory documents will not be processed
  • Candidates are advised to retain copies of all submitted documents for future reference
  • In case the Class 12 /10+2 marksheet or the Entrance Test Score is not available during the time of registration, the candidate has the facility to upload the relevant document later.

Yes. Students can apply before obtaining their Class 12 final/ board examination results.

With a consistent academic, entrance examination, co-curricular, and extracurricular record, a clear and structured approach to writing the essays, and an honest Personal Interaction session, all that remains is for candidates to convey motivations, thought processes, and fit with the transdisciplinary philosophy of WPU GŌA.

You can apply only once to WPU GŌA within one Admissions Cycle in one year.

The Personal Interaction is meant to be an informal conversation. There is no set list of questions that evaluators are required to ask, which allows for each Personal Interaction to be a unique conversation. Prior to the Personal Interaction, you may want to think about:

  • Experiences and goals that you would like to share with your evaluator.
  • Academic interests and extracurricular involvements.
  • Questions to ask your evaluator, as this is an opportunity to learn more about WPU GŌA.

Apart from B.Tech, there are no discipline-specific prerequisites. English as a subject is a must for all candidates who are registering for WPU GŌA. For B.Tech., candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics and Mathematics with a Technical or Vocational subject.

Yes, students are required to bring their own laptops as the university operates a tech-enabled, digitally native learning environment.

There is no prescribed uniform for everyday wear. On key university days a designated outfit is prescribed which must be adhered to by all students. On all other days, students can choose their own attire provided the chosen clothing is neat, appropriate and reflecting the dignity of academic setting.

Fees, Inclusions and Exclusions

The annual fee for all undergraduate programmes for the inaugural batch of 2026 is ₹7,50,000 per annum.
The annual fee of ₹7,50,000 is fixed for the entire duration of the programme for students admitted in the 2026 inaugural batch. There will be no annual escalation for this cohort.
No. The ₹7.5 lakhs per annum fee is applicable for the inaugural-batch only. Fee structures for subsequent batches will be revised and will be communicated separately.
The annual fee covers comprehensive academic instruction across all semesters, including tuition, assessments, examinations, access to faculty-led workshops and masterclasses, library resources (digital and physical), IT infrastructure, learning management systems, software licenses, and academic counselling. It also includes fully residential on-campus accommodation in triple-sharing rooms with vegetarian meals provided seven days a week, basic utilities, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and basic medical facilities. In addition, the fee covers all mandatory domestic and international immersions, including global and national immersions, industry visits and trade shows, and the Life Realisation Programme, along with applicable travel, accommodation, meals, local transportation, and short-term travel insurance.
The annual fee does not include visa processing charges, hostel room upgrades, books and personal study materials, printing and stationery, snacks or à-la-carte food items, personal travel during vacations, laptops or personal electronic devices, advanced medical treatments or hospitalisation, expenses related to internships, international semester-long exchange programmes, professional examination or certification fees, additional academic credits beyond programme norms, fines or penalties, replacement of lost documents or ID cards, or costs arising from damage or loss of university property or equipment.
Yes. For all mandatory global and national immersions, the fee includes travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, and insurance, as applicable.
No. Students are required to arrange their own books, supplies, stationery, and personal computing devices.
While industry immersions and structured visits are included, expenses incurred during internships (such as travel, accommodation, or meals) are not covered under the annual fee.
No. Any additional credits beyond programme norms, elective overloads, or special academic requests may attract additional charges.
