Centre for
Government Leadership and Public Policies

The T. N. Seshan Centre of Excellence at WPU GŌA is envisioned as a national platform to nurture ethical, capable, and future-ready public leaders. Rooted in Shri T. N. Seshan’s legacy of administrative courage and constitutional integrity, it builds on nearly two decades of MIT-SOG’s leadership and governance work. Responding to India’s rapidly evolving governance landscape, the Centre will offer world-class leadership development, evidence-based policymaking, and public-sector innovation. Located at WPU GŌA, it integrates governance studies with civilizational wisdom, modern pedagogy, and experiential learning.

“To cultivate principled, future-ready leaders grounded in clarity, integrity, and Bharat’s civilizational wisdom, uniting leadership excellence, governance innovation, ethical decision-making, youth participation, and global exposure to build accountable, citizen-centric systems for a developed Bharat”

Shri T. N. Seshan

Shri T. N. Seshan

This Centre is established to honour the immense contributions of T. N. Seshan, India’s tenth Chief Election Commissioner, widely credited with transforming the Election Commission into a powerful, impartial constitutional authority. He was the first Chairman and academic mentor of MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG), lending the institution both legitimacy and a guiding ethical vision during its formative years. He helped materialise the school aimed at producing knowledge-driven leaders rather than traditional politicians.
