The Admissions Committee of WPU GŌA evaluates the complete profile of each candidate holistically to identify well-rounded, high-potential candidates who will thrive in, and actively contribute to, our residential learning community.
International Admission Categories
A. Foreign Nationals (FN)
A candidate is eligible as a Foreign National if: They hold citizenship and a valid passport of any country other than India.
B. CIWGC / CIWSEA
Children of Indians working in: Gulf Countries or Southeast Asian Countries are eligible under this category (proof of parental employment mandatory).
C. OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India)
A candidate is eligible under the OCI category if they have been granted OCI status and hold a valid OCI card.
D. NRI (Non-Resident Indian)
A candidate is eligible under the NRI category if they are sponsored by an NRI who is an immediate or close relative.

English Language Requirement: Medium of Instruction (MOI–English) or valid IELTS/TOEFL/PTE score.

Written Essay
WPU GŌA employs a holistic review process for potential students, focusing on more than just standardized test scores. The written essay allows candidates to highlight their individuality, goals, and values. This is an opportunity to share their unique experiences, challenges overcome, and leadership qualities, helping evaluators understand their potential for academic success and community contribution at WPU GŌA.
ABC Model of Selection
WPU GŌA places great importance on three interconnected dimensions (ABC) that reflect the skills and mindset essential for thriving in our transdisciplinary learning environment.
A – Agility & Empathic Responsiveness, which is defined by the ability to adapt to change, show resilience, and demonstrate empathy
B – Broad-Minded Learning Orientation & Self-Development, which is demonstrated by aspects such as curiosity-driven learning, independent thinking, and openness to growth
C – Curiosity for Complex Problems & Co-Creation for Change, which is exemplified by engagement with real-world issues through collaboration and teamwork
In writing the essay, the candidate should focus on these three dimensions, ensuring that they address how they might possess these attributes.
Discussing how they navigated a challenge with agility & empathy by reflecting on a personal, academic, or social challenge that required them to adapt, persist, or support others.
Explaining aspects of learning beyond the classroom through a description of activities or pursuits outside regular academic studies that have shaped their thinking or interests.
Discuss how they contributed to change through collaboration by reflecting on their involvement with a cause, community initiative, or collaborative project addressing a real-world issue.
The written essay section is a separate section in the registration form, and it should be written in English
The 750-word limit must be strictly adhered to
The essay should be authentic and express the writer’s genuine voice, perspectives, and lived experiences
It should reflect deeply on their journey, focusing on self-awareness and personal growth rather than listing achievements
It should be written honestly without exaggeration or falsification
Video Essay
In addition to the written essay, candidates are required to submit a short video (2-3 minutes) in which they introduce themselves and explain why the committee should select them.
The Video essays are to be submitted within the registration form as a link to a UNLISTED YouTube video in the provided space.
Personal Interaction
All candidates who submit the registration form will be invited to participate in an online personal interaction as part of the admission process.
Duration: 20 to 30 minutes.
Your personal interaction will include a discussion based on your overall profile.
The personal interaction is conversational in nature
There are no right or wrong answers; authenticity and honest reflection are valued
The interaction is designed to be a two-way dialogue where you may also ask questions about the programme
For B.Des. candidates, the Personal Interaction will also include a discussion on the submitted portfolio
Decision Status
SELECTED
Candidates selected based on prescribed criteria proceed with provisional offers and subsequent admission steps.
WAITLISTED
Registration may be considered in future admission rounds, depending on seat availability.
REJECTED
Candidates have not met prescribed selection criteria and will not be considered further.

The total programme fee is $10,000 per year for CIWGC-SEA, SAARC, FN, and OCI category students. However, for the inaugural batch ONLY, the annual fee would be $8,335.

The actual total programme fee is $12,000 per year for the NRI Category.
International Scholarship
International Scholarship is offered to students from the CIWGC, CIWSEA, OCI, SAARC, and Foreign Nationals.
For all international candidates, a 50% domestic fee waiver will be awarded by WPU GŌA on the tuition fee.
This scholarship does not apply to the Accommodation & Campus Living Fee Components.
All scholarships will be awarded on A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.
